Lobee’s Mission

Lauren Stewart (Lo) founded Lobeefinds in 2017 as a way to combine her passion for clothing and sustainability. While working in retail, Lo noticed the rising prices of “sustainable” clothing. Additionally, she grew concerned by the negative impacts of fast fashion, and the sheer quantity of waste it creates. As a way to minimize her community’s contribution to garment waste, Lo started collecting and selling used garments on Instagram. After taking a brief hiatus, having spent the last few years collecting garments from fashion capitals like Paris, London, and New York, she decided to revamp Lobeefinds on a grander scale

Do you know where your old clothes go?

Did you know that the fashion industry creates around 100 billion garments a year? Of these garments, 60% of the materials used are plastics.

We create 92 million tons of textile waste every year.

While donating clothes to second-hand stores minimizes some waste, a large portion of donated clothes are not sold. These remaining garments are either disposed of or exported, thus perpetuating the issue of textile waste.

Lobeefinds aims to reduce the amount of clothing and housing items that end up in landfills by curating a collection of affordable goods meant for all people everywhere.
